Terms of use
Last updated October 21, 2026
By creating or ordering from a group order on Cartsemble, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
What Cartsemble is
Cartsemble is a free tool that helps an organizer collect participant orders from a group and track who has paid. We are not a store, a supplier, a payment processor or a party to any purchase. Every sale, payment and delivery is between the organizer, the participants and the supplier.
Organizers
- You are responsible for your group order: its products, prices, the combined order you place and getting the goods to participants.
- You must have the right to sell or resell what you list, and follow the laws that apply to you, including tax rules.
- You may use participants' personal information only to run the group order.
Participants
- Submitting a participant order is a commitment to the organizer, not to Cartsemble.
- Prices shown before finalization are estimates and may change. Once the organizer finalizes, you owe them the final total.
- Questions about products, payment, refunds or delivery go to the organizer.
Payments
Cartsemble never holds or moves money. Venmo, Zelle and cash payments happen directly between you and the organizer, under those services' own terms. Payment statuses in the app are records kept by the organizer and participants; we don't verify them, and we can't recover, refund or reverse any payment.
Your links
There are no accounts. Anyone with a manage link or edit link can act with it, so keep yours private. We aren't responsible for what happens through a link you shared or lost.
Acceptable use
Don't use Cartsemble to:
- sell anything illegal, counterfeit, stolen or that you don't have the right to sell;
- defraud, harass or spam anyone, or collect people's information for other purposes;
- interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses or access what isn't yours.
We may remove content or group orders, or block access, if we believe these terms are being broken.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you enter. You give us permission to store, display and email it as needed to run the service.
No warranty
Cartsemble is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that data will never be lost, and we may change or discontinue it at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Cartsemble and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, goods, data or profits, including from disputes between organizers, participants and suppliers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $50.
Indemnity
You agree to cover Cartsemble and its operator against claims, losses and costs arising from your group order, your purchases or sales, your content or your breach of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version, and using Cartsemble after a change means you accept it.
